Mazinger
Its a long process but it depends really on who does it. we have a iraqi guy who is really experienced with toyota crowns and can convet a pre 1995 one in 3 days with his buddies (5 in total) most of the people who do RHD to LHD (opposite to you guys) complete it in 2 weeks, unless if the car has very complicated electronicd (celcsior for example) its very risky, specially for beginner mechanics, but i wouldnt doubt the work of an expereinced mechanic. best way to convert is by getting a half cut of the car you want and remove all the stuff (fire wall, loom, steering rack...etc) and weld them to your RHD car. other than that they will need to cut 2 circular holes in the firewall, and swap them over from right to left, the steering rack is cut and welded too, and the loom extended to the other side. there are companies that do LHD to RHD conversions for ford mustangs and explorers in Australia. also most mechanics would never touch an exotic to convert (viper, ferrari, lambo...etc) just way too risky to screw up. we had a guy who conveted a Mark II to LHD, and the steering wasnt welded properly, result: he found that he couldnt steer the car at 80KM/h and ended meeting a new ligh pole...... a lesson to be learned.
