R33 Gtst Boot Lock Stuck Open

Rego is in 4 months and it doesnt need much but the upper boot release/lock is broken and the boot wont lock anymore it just flaps around, i assume the aweful roads here killed it, i dont know where and if i can get it fixed, local locksmith said it was warn.

i dont even know how much a new/used lock assembly would be and if i should replace the bottom part of the lock but it doesnt seem as badly warn but that wouldnt hurt either.

Any suggesteions on how to keep the boot closed in the mean time?

employ a leprechaun to sit in there and hold it shut. =P

but occy strap looks so tacky also it will probably ruin the nice new paintwork, i was going to tape it but i was worried about the glue ruining the paint

i mean strap it inside. if you can find points to hook it to, can stretch open enough to hook on and hold it closed when you pull your arm out.

maybe able to use the spare wheel, dunno what your boot is like...

good old black sticky tape seems to work ok, now time to find a nice replacement
