People That Have Reused A Tomei Headgasket

Just wondering for people who have reused a tomei HG what do you do about the black coating since when I took it off some of it had stuck to the head and block do you just scrap it all off the HG and use hymolar spray or just keep whatever black coating is left on the HG.

I would just get another one, I wasn't aware ppl re use them but if you must you don't really have many other options I wouldn't think. .

I think KiwiRS4T has reused one. maybe not same brand but was an mls gasket.

Yep reused the Tomei metal h/g 3x just clean up and repaint.

Use the copper gasket spray

as above, clean it off and use copper gasket spray. I have reused a couple and they have been fine

Times, i use the brush-on permatex number 3,its non- hardening, i never had one leak.
