So I got sold a dodgy turbo with slightly bent compressor wheel from someone on here. Im wondering if it will be cheaper and easier to just buy a new garrett -9, or buy a new core (if thats possible) and do it myself, or pay a shop in sydney to rebuild it??

Thoughts?

Ive seen new turbos for around 1350

Quotes for repairs around a grand and cant seem to find any chra kits for sale. Anyone have experience here??

Yer twin turbo r32gtr, planning on putting in gt2860r -9's. Just need to sort out this one damaged comp wheel first. Would prefer a replacement chra. Anyone know where to source one?

GCG are expensive, plenty of guys that will do just as good a job for cheaper. They also don't like doing warranty jobs, had two compressor wheels that made love to the housing, had a look at the balancing bolt and it was hacked to shit so I suspect they had problem balancing it, blamed it on "bad tune" each time supposedly overheating it on low boost.
