E85 Fuel Strainers

Hi,

Interested in finding out a bit more info about an e85 fuel strainer that attaches to the base of the fuel pump.

How long do these last when submersed in e85 fuel? Is there anything that can be done to prolong the life of the little strainer itself?

The only stainless steel item i've found so far is from fuel lab but due to its size it is impractical to mount it to the pump itself.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Pre or post pump? pre - run a Speed flow or similar 40 micron stainless strainer, it will never break down just wash it out as part of regular servicing and 10 micron for post pump

So the fabric type that come with the walbro pumps are no good for e85?

Surely if you have a e85 walbro pump the fabric strainer would be fine.

Agreed, the e85 one will be fine, as is the standard sock attached to the Walbro 255's, and most other (non Chinese) pumps I would say.

Who told you it would fail anyway?

sorry, I for some reason thought you meant external pump, if you can use the one that comes with the pump then that would be the better one to use
