Yes it does , lowering the car puts constant pressure on the strut and pre- loads the suspension , its a short term cheap fix without replacing stock struts .

Like i said , this fixed my problem and very well .

Now i run Bilstiens with Tein lowering springs actually works better for street ride and will outlast any coilover .

Then again coilovers might be your best option to keep stock ride height ?

Bad advice going to pedders ……...

No other changes to toe or camber were made after.....?

Stock ride height, car wandering on the rear end means there is an issue that can probably be fixed easily if the problem is diagnosed. The car is probably toeing out on the rear but until the OP gives us the numbers from the recent alignment it is hard to tell if there is another issue.

Ive had the same issue in the past with my 33 and it was tyre related, pump the rear tyres to 42psi and see it it makes a difference.

Not 550rwkw related rear end wandering all over the road? :P

you are going to have this issue with or without coilovers, before shelling cash into mods, sort out the fundamental issues first.

you good enough to pick a problem and semi diagnose it. why start ignoring it and hoping large mods will sort it out?
