for the life of me i cant take the nuts off the tailshaft connecting to the diff on my 32 gtst. Tried a 14mm ring spanner and it bent. Put heps of wd-40. Tried hammering it off with a flathead, didnt move. What else is left? Do i need to cut them off with a angle grinder??

I had a similar problem with a rear LCA pivot bolt (on a Honda). Wasn't till I finally got the nut off (with the biggest fkoff breaker bar that I could find) that I realised the nut is supposed to be welded to the subframe.

Fkn noob!!!

I know this doesn't relate to your issue, but still makes me laugh. Maybe I should have posted into the "Oops"thread

Get 2 x ring open end spanners around the same size (eg 14 + 15mm), put the ring end on the bolt and then use the 15mm spanner ring end inside the 14mm open end to piggyback the spanner and then yank it. Any decent spanner should handle this. Im assuming you have limited room. If not then long breaker bar or short breaker bar with some pipe on it and pull

They are tight, but the spanner thing always works for me in limited space

I'm having the same problem on my 33. Wd-40's not great on rusted in bolts so going to go down and get a proper "liquid wrench" type product soak for good amount of time then 14" ring end then I normally use my long extender bar onto the open end side of the spanner to get the extra force. If that doesn't work I'm going to heat up the bolts. Make sure when you do it you have car in gear with handbreak on so it locks the tailshaft, then when u crack it neutral and handbreak off spin wheel and relock to get to next bolt.
