52mm fits but the fan blades are really close to the shroud and may collect it if there's enough engine movement, also a pain in the arse to fit. It's like Tetris level ultimate full retard

fan blade will flex and cut into rad most likely so best to ditch it and run S bladed thermos when using 52mm rad

Is there any cooling difference between the 42mm and 52mm cores ? The car is my daily and only hits the drags on some weekends.

just get the smaller one, easier to fit... if you're only doing the drag strip even a stock radiator would be fine.. once you start running laps around a circuit go for the biggest one
