Hi,

I have done an R32 conversion to a RB25DET and bought a new engine loom for the 25 however it didnt have a plug for the Throttle position sensor.

Does anyone know why and if its required? will it just idle rough without it plugged in or will i have overall issues?

did this initially, wasnt happy with loss of VCT and the hassles of tracking back a lot of wires which were dodgy on the rb20 loom. So now, replaced the ECU, ignitor box, injector loom, coil loom and over all engine loom. only bit missing from this setup is that one plug....

from discussions with people i had you have issues with the vct running off the rb20 like it only working up high if you manually wire it however i cannot comment on it as im no car electrician or expert of any kind. and the other issue of fixing the rb20 wiring that was already f***ed is the reason of swapping it all..

The hard work of ripping it all out and putting in the new one is done. i am stumped by the idea of this one plug which there are no signs of ever existing in the loom.
