Flicking through channels last night I came accross the ABC show "New Inventors". On this show they talked to a man (Daniel Callaghan) who claimed his invention of a new kind of spark plugs can reduce emissions of certain types of pollutants from internal combustion engines.

The spark plugs are called "Greenfire" and instead of arcing across a gap they ignite fuel inside small "venturi" tubes at the end of the plug. The result is a flame instead of a small arc which they say results in a better burn, more complete combustion.

Can't email this guy as his website (http://www.greenfire.com.au/) does not list his address but just wanted to know before I go calling him if anyone here has any opinions on this idea/device?

What are the effects of forced induction on this thing? He doesn't specifically mention that anywhere.

Does look interesting, and yet rather simple too.

could reduce the boosted 25t with standard ecu flat spot it it does what it claims.

curious to know what effect it would have on a car with well tuned A/f ratio's

Good point. I wonder if good tuning and a healthy set of plugs would do the same thing.
