Philr32
Can anyone tell me what turbo is pictured? GT3071, GT3076? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/437522-what-turbo-is-this/ Share on other sites
scotty nm35
You can't tell from the housing, can you get the number off the core, the one on the little metal tag? scotty nm35
You may need to pull it off then to work out what it is. Does it really matter? Just tune it. Did you check from underneath for the tag? It is pretty old, most turbo's that size have anti surge housings these days. Lithium
Looks a lot like the housing most typically used on GT3071R but as others have said, check the core (solid bit between the two housings) for a serial number <br /><br />Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk<br /><br /> Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/437522-what-turbo-is-this/#findComment-7168645 Share on other sites
discopotato03
If you can see under the inlet boss/hose on the front of the compressor housing look for an AR number ie 0.50 A/R . AFAIK only GT3071Rs used that housing in that AR ratio with the large inlet boss . The unknown is if someones made up a non standard bitzer and the only way to tell is to remove and pull the housings to measure the wheels . Does it have a Garrett GT30 IW turbine housing on it ? A . It says A/R 67 or possibly A/R 70 from memory. Not sure if it has a Garrett GT30 IW turbine housing on it, don't even know what that is TBH, lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/437522-what-turbo-is-this/#findComment-7169075 Share on other sites
