Had the flywheel and pressure plate balance and pulled out my gearbox today... changed the spigot and fitted the new clutch

I cant get the box back in now... Not because of clutch alighnment.. Im just to week to lift it back in... If anyone has a free day tomorrow and would like to help

Jack up the front of the motor, dude. but dont forget to check your cooler piping when you're done or it'll blow off.

The motor is jacked up. The problem is my dad is getting to old to help me with gearboxes these days... Poor bloke almost expired under there this arvo so I called

it off till I can find a strong lad to help out

is ur car on the floor or a hoist? you just jack the gearbox up...2 jacks front and rear

You can work naked if you want, doesn't bother me and it's not like their is anyone else here that will see you. As long as you don't mind telling about ~20 people how to setup their email in Outlook Express over the phone it'll be a breeze

R33vit: I'd be going easy on that clutch for about 1,000km if I was you, no point B-Man'ing it on your first day.

Best to not flog it's heart out for the first couple of hundred kays.

After that it'll be fine. Trust me. I drove mine for a day, drove to EC and raced. Fine since.

OK say 200kays. But do I need to be shifting it or just keep it in top gear for 200kays???
