Pod Or Stock Air Box?

R33 gts-t all stock, would I get more power from a pod filter, stock air box with K&N or stock air box with stock air filter, Im fitting new font mount and just wondering?

I have seen 500kw through a cotton panel filter in a stock GTR airbox, unless you are looking to squeeze every last kw out of your setup the stock airbox will work fine. You will need to upgrade the rubber intake though.

If you lay a paper element out flat, it has over twice the surface area of a pod, or K+N panel, so any flow gains from a less restrictive filter material are lost due to the larger/less pleats.

I wonder it's easy enough to fit a R33 GT-R airbox into a R33 GTS-t

they have that awesome side part which allows for more airflow and the scoop is larger

Awesome responses guys cheers, I will keep the stock air box and filter, I'm only running stock turbo and boost. I hear a lot of people saying pods are better, I put a cheap 1 on and I did instantly feel a small lack of power and a small flat spot until the computer sorted it out
