Hey guys, wish i could have been there but i had my 3rd year anniversary with the gf. Never would have gotten away with a putty road cruise as a romantic weekend away.

Abo Bob, u have some cool pics there but whats with the ghost car about 5 spots infront in this picture

Ewen, didn't catch you out there, didn't realise another TT person was there!!

Mona- i know, how annoying were those bikes on the way back!!

sooo irritating!!! and they knew we were there!!! all they had to do was move to the side, so we could overtake while only using a little of the oncoming lane... but noo!!! lets just putter along! :

and ewwwwwwwww at Auroras car!! thats disgusting!!! poor car!! looks like a bit of damage!!! and the wombat was already dead on the road? poor wombat :( Run over, not once, but twice!!! ;)

but despite hitting the wildlife...was a great day!! :(;)

there was only about 8?? of us that did the Putty Rd back to Windsor in the dark (after tagging along to a few wineries) which was a good sized group actually, cos we could set our own pace and keep together.

Made it a VERY long day, driving back to Canberra after that!!

as slo200 said, good to see "most" ppl were well behaved, and any comments on those that weren't are best put in the members forum :)

thanks to all you guys who joined up as members on the day too, you will have a shiny new membership card and sticker in the next couple of weeks :headspin:

the rest of my pics are here

P.S. The images result1 and result2 are what Taryn and I ended up with after a day and a half in the Hunter SHOPPING!!  ;)

funny that, after you gave me a hard time for not having a wing, you ended up making an effort to take a photo, just so you can look at it all day

The silver 32's damage was limited to the lower lip coming off on the drivers side (as in picture), it managed to just clip it, but wasnt so lucky for ewens car  id say the intercooler is an instant write off...

nice pics guys

great cruise and I can't wait to get back to the hunter valley again!!!!

Shonen: no worries, I expected you'll be pulling in soon

if anyone has any feedback about the day, please PM or email me with it so I know for next year

I took another car out because it wasn't a Skyline and didn't deserve to be there.

Dude, you guys will have to come up with us again so that Jody and I can show you how it is really done... we collected that much in about 2 hours... which is why we had to go home and not stay the night ... didn't bring a big enough car!

    • I’m thinking that’s the route I’ll  go, thanks for the input!
    • Hey all, my 2004 Nissan Skyline 350GT overheated the other day with coolant boiling and leaking out of the coolant reservoir when I was parking. So today, I started it up again just to see if it was a thermostat/head gasket issue. After about 20 mins of running, temps were normal again, no coolant was leaking out and the upper reservoir hose was warm but my engine suddenly cut off. I checked the oil dipstick and cap when it was running and there was no white foamy residue and the exhaust did not have white smoke. I tried starting up the car again but it would only crank, similar to when I had a camshaft sensor issue just that now there’s no check engine light on the dash. Any ideas? Unfortunately I don’t have an OBD2 that can read the Nissan's programme.
    • Bump on this to not make another post, had a ‘head drain’ leak on me and have the engine out as we speak. Planning on just putting a new freeze plug back in , plug the tapped holes and just be done with that headache.    Now I still want to relieve pressure to allow oil to pass down the blocks returns easier. I’ve seen catch cans with multiple vents help folks with this issue on this forum.  I’m wanting to make my own. I have some pictures here of my setup if anyone can help how I should plumb and design the catch can I would deeply appreciate it !   rb25 Oil upgrades: 1.0mm restrictor n1 pump/billet gears extended crank collar  extended sump with trap doors/w welded fitting
    • The Frenchy's kit is the way to go forward. A modern compressor that weighs about 1/2 as much, is at least twice as efficient, and will do a good job on R134a. And of course the kit has everything else you need to connect it up and have it work properly.
    • Hey all , I am in the process of having the AC system in my r32 GTST converted from r12 to r134a and I’m being told my compressor has gone bad and I will need a new one. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for what is the best route to go aside from dropping $1500 on a new oem one? I did see that Frenchy’s performance garage offers a kit to mount a Toyota compressor, has anybody actually used this kit on their car? Or is there anywhere I could purchase just a clutch? Any help is appreciated.
