As the name suggests, I'm wondering how you all personally go about cleaning your computers insides from predominately all the dust that accumulates over time.

Also if many people clean there keyboard, mouse, monitor and what brand/chemicals do you use?

Google has given me mixed information so I'd like to hear from fellow SAU members and there past experiences/ current routine.

Thanks in advance.

Bronson.

Hey mate - Vacuum cleaner without making contact and gently brush with a smallish paint brush :) avoid chemicals unless you have a specific issue like coke in there or something o.O

Thanks for the info! When you say "gently brush" do you mean brush all he dust to stir it all up so the Vaccuum can get it?

Hahah I'll avoid chemicals all together :)

Thanks

Bronson.

Seems like there's a couple of things I've come to

For the inside if I blow some air into it to stir it up then vacuum, and anything stubborn get in there with a paint brush, and vaccuum again.

How often do you guys clean it out?

can of compressed air and a paintbrush for me. it really depends on your living conditions as to how often you clean them out. cats/dogs in the area, carpet or hard floors.

usually you get more dust if the comptuer is in a carpeted room. but i usually clean mine out once a month.

Cheers for all the replies guys, really appreciate it!

What about the moisture from a can of air? Will that harm the electronic components if it touches any of it? Or if you leave it to "dry" as such for 15 mins it will be okay to start back up?
