Vl Rb25 Project, Need Help.

Hey everyone in the process of doing a conversion.

Issue: the motor isn't firing, it'll crank just won't fire.

Had to get a series 2 engine loom(couldn't find a clean series 1 loom)

Also had to replace a couple of series 2 plugs with series 1 ie the loom to ignitor plug, which on series 2 runs 1 less wire so I have a wire that I can only assume is an earth (black with yellow trace)

Help would be greatly appreciated, I've looked almost everywhere else can't find anything.

err... so you're running a series 2 loom with series 1 igniter & series 1 coils?

series 2 dont have an ignitor (built into coilpacks), so a bit confused at what you have done there?

I assume your problem lies in the spark, as the injector harness plugs into the main loom so that shouldnt be an issue, I dont think there is a difference there between S1 and S2 (could be wrong)

Have you checked it is actually sparking?

To rule out the injectors you should hear/feel them pulsing if you pull the CAS out and with the key on slowly rotate the shaft.
