When I got my '98 gtst it came with a CWest GT type adjustable wing. The original spoiler was gone. The rear gaurds are about 1"=25mm higher than the boot lid, in a semi finished condition and showed the weld seam. It also still had the original spoiler bolt holes and grommet holes through the boot lid.

To Fix all this I bought a boot spoiler, cut the guts out of it, refinished it with more fibreglass and made up a couple of cricket bats for each side. These then bolted down where the original spoiler was and covered/finished the boot lid off.

Since doing this, I've seen pics of boot lids that never had this prob in the first place, the boot lid matches the gaurds without the spoiler, and there is no spoiler indent on either side, latest HPI has a lime GTR like this.

My question is, did they panel beat the gaurds down to the gaurds and fix up the bootlid??? OR is there a boot lid that sits up higher and matches the gaurds????

I don't mind my cricket bats, BUT would prefer a less 'add on/bolt on' finish.
