R34 Gtt-R From Finland

New 4Power battery and rear subframe bushes arrived yesterday.

Started engine yesterday and it was running a bit rich (14.1 without lambda).
Have to adjust it today with nistune.


This week project is polishing lips :)

Front bumper / lip painted

New battery installed. I did also new cables for battery and cleaned all grounding spots.
I had hot starting problems (injectors didnt open) but with new battery and cables all problems are gone :)

Love the composites work in here.

Did you create the foam plugs for your duck wing and front lip yourself? Top notch work there. I assume they are made with a polyurethane foam or PVC foam? How did you go about making them dimensionally accurate and symmetrical?

I made front lip and my friend made the wing. Its hard polyurethane foam sheet i used.

There one rule when making of those, measure, measure and measure :D

so wheels are getting painted, not powdercoated? any reason why?

I dont like orange peel what you get in powdercoating :)

If you go to special color in powdercoating, orange peel get even worse because of the layers.

what are they? i found a rubber grommet made to fit but they want $50 which seams too expensive for some rubber haha

Some universal blanking plugs. Cost about 4aud piece in local car part store :)

I spent about 16 hours polishing wheels / car at weekend.
