R32 Type M Head lights same as GTR Headlights?

Hey ppls,

I've attached a pic of a Type M R32 GTST Headlight and the non-Type M which I presume is just a std headlight??!

the one on the right is an early R32 type M light & the one on the left is a late R32 type M light. GTR's typically get around with the same lights as the type M's

the el cheapo lights look similar (but not identical) to the N1 GTR lights ie 2 squarish reflectors per side

my car has 1 early light (drivers side) & 1 late light (pass side) so if anyone has the same problem but sides reversed PM me to swap to we have to matching sets

I think its the dodgy repair job the crash repairs did to my car.

My ring projector headlights protrude past the bonnet.

Because the outside of the lights (next to the blinker) sits properly and flush with the bonnet yet the inside of the light protrudes past the bonnet, the round projector bit is made to look a little bung eyed as they have had to angle them in heaps to get the lights projecting in the right direction.

If you look at the pic you will know what i mean.

I have noticed the lights I now how (Projector with the ring around it as per the black car) definately light up the road alot more than the origional head lights (as per the silver car).

that's cos the bulbs are different wattages... see my R32 revision history in the DIY/FAQ section

however, the silver car has higher wattage bulbs, the one on the black one was like the replacement model for the pov pack lights of 1989. the ones on the silver car were what you got if you bought a Type J, Type M or Type S car.

Those lights I now have (the lights in the black car) came off a 93 model GTST. Unsure if it was a pov pack but

I'm confused what is type M now.

To be honest I like the head lights that were origionally on the car. (same as the Silver pic).

Looking at the ones in it now I really don't like them, they stand out too much and for some reason or another remind me of silvia headlights. I really don't like the ol' silvia's. 180sx's are fine just not the s13 silvia.

So yer.. I'm after some of the same headlights as per the silver r32 pic

nah i don't sorry, my headlight looks nothing like that now, coz i've got shitzen loads of fibreglass n stuff all on it
