So after almost a year of deciding on my next car im about 75% sold on an m35. Ive driven 3 rs4 25t models over the last few days and a few things annoying me about them that are stopping me from going to 100% on them.

1) im fairly tall 6'4. This causes me all kinds of issues but i find a way to make it work with my other cars s14 and r33... When sitting in the m35 stagea i feel very very high, not as in ride height but my face is level with the rear view mirror causing a massive blind spot on the left..... Is there a way to raise / lower the seats that is not planly obvious or is it just a very high seating position in these? I feel alot more comfortable in a c34...

2) the pockets where the cig lighter socket is rubs on my leg due to the already awkward seating position causing it to be fairly uncomfortable even after a short test drive. Is this an issue for anyone else?

3) no idea about trim levels but none of the ones i have driven had electronic seats or cruise control, are these optioned or only in the axis / arx models?

I love everything else about these cars i have not seen an arx or axis in the flesh yet so im not sure if these make a difference.

They do have a high seating position. I am lucky as I am a short ads.

Some taller guys have fixed this with after market seats like bride seats etc.

My car is an RS four and has leather electric heated seats. It really just depends on boxes the buyer chose to tick

Cruise control is pretty rare. But the standard system isn't very good anyway. You can fit after market cruise systems. Do a search and you will find the info.

I'm 6,2 and i have a ARX and the seats do have a adjustment that dips the rear of the seat down. i have that all the way down.. If i had it all the way up id most likely hit my head..

Or just chase down som bride seats and rails as Brick said

I've just taught myself to check twice before going.

Or flapcappa style the seat so I'm basically laying down.

^This used to shit me before I bought the Bride seats, and as a bonus the missus can't see over the dash now. :P

^I have factory cruise, & it's crap for a few reasons including:

-You can't the set cruise control over 110kmph. And this is a big problem if you've got aftermarket wheels and the rolling diameter is different to stock. PLUS many speedos are out by at least 10% from what I have heard.

-Factory cruise control has an ugly radar grille.

-Sometimes the radar detects invisible cars and turns itself off with a BEEP noise. Then the cruise control will not work again until the car has been turned off, then on again!!

I have a 350RX Four with electric seats, they can drop a fair amount, not sure how low though. I'm 5ft 11in but have gorilla proportions (short legs, long upper body) and while it seemed a little tight at first I got used to it.

Another 6'4" in an AR-X so with the power seat. No issues at all with head room, I actually have my seat raised a little, from dropped to the floor to give me more thigh support.

Did the intial drive from Sydney to Melbourne, and felt great even after 10 hours in the car. In my R33 on the way to Sydney, I was exhausted...

That pocket next to the lighter, you just get used to and it now feels quite comfortable to rest my left leg on.

Doesn't really rub, as that leg does not move, after the intial parking brake off..

And as for that blind spot... At my height I've been looking under and around mirrors for years... Just got used to it...

The pocket gets more annoying the faster you go around corners Nick, as you use it to brace yourself from slipping off the seat. Obviously you drive like a grandma. :P

This, although I did miss it initially, I don't miss the wallet randomly falling out and sliding down around my feet.

Wallet is not full enough.

Under the elbow rest in the storage compartment ;)

That's where I keep my cable ties & Backpacker ballgag.

It's in my pocket...

Do series one drivers not wear pants?

I never wear pants; had legs & tockley tattooed with jeans pattern;

Epic skinny jeans.
