R32 Skyline Tailshaft Bearing Clunks

Are these replaceable if so who sells them, I've read a few things that say they are permanently crimped in and not replaceable and recommended a one piece tailshaft, this doesn't seem right?

I thought the entire uni was detachable from the tail shaft?

A 1 piece tailshaft is NEVER the solution.

Regardless of whether the centre bearing is crimped/welded in or whatever, they would still be replaceable. It just might mean a trip to Spicers and more $$ than you'd like to spend on it.

I recently replaced the centre bearing on my mates XR6t, the centre uni needed replacement as you need to remove it to fit the bearing.

Yeah I assumed I would need to replace the entire uni joint, where can I buy one other than nissan?

Obviously the Ford one can be obtained at any 7/11 store, Nissan would be your best bet, but not sure if they are replaceable with circlips. You may need to take it to a driveshaft specialist to be machined.

I thought there was a DIY on doing the centre bearing floating around here somewhere. You can by them from just jap I think

I know a mate did a centre bearing on his 32 gtst a few years ago. Never complained about it being a crap job so cant be to bad

they are about $480 from nissan last time i checked which aint cheap!!

i use a local guy or final drive in perth. Pretty sure they both use hardy spicer replacements

Mate called up CBC and they said they can do him something that should work for $120, going to see how that goes and buy one if it is any good.
