Hello..

I am shopping for a new battery and want to get something a little better than what SuperCheap offer.

I am looking at the Optima Yellow Top D51R

CCA - 450
38AH, 38 AMP HOUR
TERMINAL/POST TYPE JIS / SMALL POST
RESERVE CAPACITY 66Mins
VOLTAGE 12VOLT
SIZE - 237mm (long)x 129mm (wide) x 227mm (to the top of the terminals)
WEIGHT - 11.8 kg

My friend thinks I need a battery with at least 680CCA but I would think that is overkill.

Any advice?

Thanks legends!!

If you have the space at the front might as well get a D34 Optima, not much of a price difference and that battery will give you nearly 10 years of service if you use a proper charger to maintain it once in a while.

D51r is handy for us R33 boys as the rear boot is limited with space

With the D34 I am unsure that the terminals are the correct way around?

Mine is the same as this one with the negative at the right and the positive at the left and both at the back of the battery.
