Can you go into a bit more detail? BE greatly appreciated.

Have you run the MX72 pads before? What pads were you running on your old original R32 brakes?

So you have not tracked it but sounds like you have driven it plenty on the street. Do you have ABS? You have uber power so guessing you have used them for hard stops? If you have ABS does it kick in far earlier than before? What % increase or decrease do you have in pedal effort to stop the car in general driving.

LOL, lastly what BMC are you running ... sorry about all the questions

Ive driven this a few times. This was before the mx72's though, Pedal feel was very close to stock for normal conditions but the pads were shizen and didnt pull up amazingly compared to my setup but mines silly when in speeding conditions. BMC was a BM57 running ABS

I have also driven pezheads GTR with the same setup but smaller discs with Hawk HT10's and it brakes stupid well! a very slight chirp in the last 5m coming to a standing stop in emergency braking situations no ABS shuddering.. Braking feel is similar to mine which is a bit touchier than stock on initial bite (needs less pedal effort about 10-15% less distance/pressure) so it will take maybe 20 mins to adjust over a daily but then its fine. This was also ABS and BM57

For Reference roy im running 33GTR brembo's with 345mm rotors, Endless CCRG pads and a BM44 also abs but it almost never kicks in.

A few seconds with the DBA catalogue tells you that the height of the R34 rotor is 53.8mm and the height of the Evo9 rotor is 43.5mm. So trying to jam the R34 Brembo caliper over the Evo rotor is likely to result in disappointment. Of course, there would be little point in doing so, seeing as you can get the right rotors for that caliper.

If you're talking about some whacky custom fitment on some other car, then you are potentially free to make your brackets so that the rotor is centred in the caliper. You could also then locate the caliper so that the 4mm difference in diameter is not so much a problem.

I opted to go for the D2 8 Pot 356mm kit instead. Bigger, cheaper and came with everything required. (and it's all brand new)

 

 

Would you guys vote for D2 over brembo ?
