Hi guys, my mate and i attempted to mount a tial 44mm waste gate onto my manifold today and ran into a few dramas. I bought the gate without the v-band clamps so went down to gcg turbos to get a vband. It fits on the waste gate inlet and the manifold individually but will not clamp when the surfaces are mated. It seems as if the clamp is too narrow to get around both flanges. Are there specific v-bands that suit the tial 44mm gates? Thanks

Hahaha that's not a stupid question. Any help or suggestions are much appreciated (especially when im so close to getting this thing on the road). It feels pretty solid though so I'm not sure if that would work. It feels like there is a gap between the two flanges becuase of tge valve seat ring.

Try it with the new Turbosmart HP range, 45psi of spring would be a bitch.

Can you get in there with a lever? I sometimes have to put a block of wood on top of the gate and lever it with something to keep pressure on it, while someone else does up the bolt.

I might actually be able to lever it with a pry bar off the sway bar.
