having a strange problem i need help with.

i have an r33 gtst series 2 and when the air conditioning is on the belt will screech for a split second and it feels like the crankshaft locks up for that split second as well, or perhaps the car jolts, not sure only guessing.
happens once a minute or so.
ive had the A/C compressor reconditioned and a new receiver/dryer and problem still remains.
does anybody have any sort of help??
thank you

No way will it be the crankshaft locking up. You should be slipping the belt long before that happens. I drove an 89 corolla once were the ac compressor died and siezed up and it still ran

Sounds like a problem with the idle, like its not compensating for the little bit of extra load from the engine

What ECU and mods do you have?

the only mods my car has is exhaust. pod and boost control @ 11psi.

it does it while driving, not idling.

Maybe your belts worn, has oil on it or its loose.

all new belts 2 years ago, problem accured about 1 year ago. no oil on belts. My engine bay is clean and no leaks

Get your air con checked out. If it wasnt flushed when the compressor was replaced it may have had oil and other contaminants in the line which have now blocked up the system.

I have just fixed a honda crv that has a very similar sounding problem. It had excessive oil in the system and was causing the compressor to lock up and partially stalling the motor.

Its a very common issue actually, the compressor shits itself, pieces go everywhere through the lines, and once the new compressor goes in it's rooted instantly. Rushing a job like that and not checking/cleaning the lines can cost you more than double...

i have tightened the A/C belt and the problem has seemed to have gone :)
If i have any more problems occur i will let you all know by posting here.
