Esteemed colleagues.

I have an EOS600 which is going great. I have dl'd the photos to my laptop, some of the earlier ones have come out as a jpg. but the rest (600) are all CR2 and massive in their size, 25-30mb.

AVS do a converter but I'm tighter than Warnie's new face an was wondering if there is a freebie out there.

Also, any ideas as to why these pics are coming down as CR2? I haven't changed the way I do anything as far as I know.

Cheers!

Ken.

CR2 files means you set the camera to shoot RAW.

Go to quality in the menu and set it jpeg again.

RAW files are not processed, they contain the information captured for the photo and let you process the final image. When you shoot jpeg, the camera processed the RAW into a jpeg for you in-camera.
