Hey all

Do series 1 doors fit a series 2?

And if so, is it true series 1 doors dont have the big heavy side intrusion bars that the series 2 ones have?

Any one know the weight difference? Or have a door sitting there to weigh?

My understanding the S1 and S2 doors are exact fitment. I also was told the S1 door has less reinforcement compared to the S2 since 1995-96 was when the standard for crash and safety ratings was raised so I would assume the S2 door would be heavier. Not aware of the weight difference between the two.

Also has anyone taken a grinder to the dorrs before? cutting out most of the door part that you see inside and also removing the reinforcement bar from inside the doors?

Did this cause any problems?
