Hi all,

So last Monday at work, a truck driver reversed into a tree, which fell directly on my R33! Couldn't believe it.

I have made a claim through my insurance (who will take care of it at no cost) and they have asked me to get two quotes.

There is multiple dents /scratches to the roof and bonnet.

I have got the following two quotes already:

- paintless dent removal (approx $2400), repairer thinks he can get out most of the damage and buff out scratches

- panel beater (approx $3000-4000), will take out front/rear windows, cut off and weld on a new roof, replace bonnet. Respray bonnet and roof/petrol tank panels

Anyway, my question is: Will any panel beater respray your whole car if majority (e.g more than 50%) of the car needs respraying?

I am devastated this happened to my car, and the panel beater sounds like the right option - however I don't want my car to be half new paint half old paint..

Please help!! Many thanks..

that quote(panel beater) seems very cheap for the amount of work involved.

and if they can get the dents out by paintless dent removal, a lot of panel beaters will also go this route.

me personally, I wouldnt want the turret replaced.

but, thats just me.

im a panel beater, and id take swapping the roof over paintless dent if there is alot of damage. swapping a roof is actually a very simple process on par with say a rear quater panel. then u can also talk to them about respray the full car for a bit of extra cash
