Hi all,

Long time no post...

My R33 s2 failed rego last year due to an oil leak around the rocker cover/gasket. I got it cleaned up and passed rego elsewhere, car doesnt get much use, but rego is due again in 3 weeks so i want to fix it up properly.

Now i can see i can get a gasket and seals for about $110

Or a complete engine gasket kit for $220

I'm just wondering if labour wise, there is a huge difference between the 2, and what should i expect ball park? I dont want to spend more than i need to thats for sure, but if it means spending a little more now instead of just spending again a year from now, id entertain it.

Cheers :)

That complete kit doesn't come with the 2 half moons? I have a genuine nissan cam cover gasket kit without the bolt gaskets you can have for $50 I work in artarmon.

and labour on the full gasket kit would be very high, head gasket and rear main. head and box needs to come off. Personally wouldn't trust that kit either.

Sounds interesting!

Ummm what are these bolt gaskets? Or perhaps, what IS in the kit?
