I'll play nice..

Essentials before power (for me anyway):

- bucket seat

- 1.5/2 way diff

- good suspension

- replace castor bushes

- subframe pineapples

- hicas lock bar

- decent tyres & pads

then:

- fmic

- fuel pump (if needs a new one)

- boost controller

- simple off the shelf toshi remap

rip skids all day

its appropriate for me to describe you anyway i feel like....i don't mind helping bleating newbies, everyone starts somewhere.

I don't mean inappropriate as in impolite. You can be as impolite to me as you like because other people's opinion of me, especially at this remove, is of very little concern. I mean inappropriate as in incorrect/wrong/don't-know-what-you're-talking-about. You can go along being as incorrect as you like and your credibility will soon match your veracity.

Helping bleating newbies outright, by typing out information that has already been typed out 10 or 100 times before, is only fuelling the problem. If a correct answer already exists on the forums then putting up another version of the correct answer only lowers the signal to noise ratio. Doesn't improve it at all.

also because i have joined recently i've found the search is crap...you get better hits for SAU from google that the forum itself...and then when you do find something its in the 142nd page of a topic that is not even the topic you are searching for.

like the others have said...and to put it back on topic.

I'd go first for

exhaust, air filter

then

suspension (adjustables, rear sway bar, rear camber arms.)

uprated brake pads & brake master cylinder stopper

boost controller & fmic

then

ECU,injectors & turbo + exh manifold + tune

Yep, thats pretty much the regular advice!

For all we know the op has a budget of 500 bucks and wants a car that goes WOOOOOOSH TUTUTUTTUUUUUUU.

Untill that's clarified, this thread is a total waste of time.

And can't let it go, Badgaz you suggested a boost controller before the tune, so be prepared for the "my car has a misfire on boost" thread once that's fitted ;)

i wont say its a total waste of time... we can share opinions on which mods each of us would do first...we cant be all having the exact ideas rite?

just share and bounce off ideas... besides, the fact that we are posting here means we have a bit of time on our hands rite? LOL

I thought EVERYONE searched EVERY forum using google and the site: tag. It is a well known fact that bb and IPboard and all other forum software search functionality is crap.
