Strange Sound From Front Wheel Arch

Hi all

I'm getting this strange noise that sorta sounds like a plastic peg hitting concrete. Sounds like it is coming from the driver's side wheel arch.

It's not a constant sound like a pebble in the tire but tends to happen at low speeds and when the car is accelerating or decelerating.

I actually hit something on the road a few months back, what ever it was grabbed onto the flange that connects the Y-Pipe and the rest of the exhaust. It pulled it back at least an inch which completely destroyed the vibration absorbers. Long story short I have a new exhaust from the Y-pipe (the guy saved that and just fitted new absorbers).

So now I'm thinking I also f**ked something in the suspension, anyone heard this sound before?

hi make sure its not your disc pads worn to low level as i think its got a low level metal prong that hits rotar and make scratchy noise...

sounds like the classic V35/350z axel click.. there is a TSB for it.. i will see if I can find it.. it involves removing the rear axel, cleaning up and greasing the spline and re-assembling.

Cheers guys, hopefully it just a greasing like you suggest. I'm not damaging anything by driving it with the click am I?

if it cause is the same as described in the TSB, then no, you won't damage anything.
