I would be taking the car to a mechanic first, just to fix the issues you have currently, then re-evaluate if you want to head down the modification path, after reading and understanding the hundreds of threads discussing exactly what you plan to do to your car.

Secondly, turn the boost down.

After this conversation with you this evening, I'm not sure if you have much of understanding of a Skyline, Because factory Nissan skyline does not comes factory externally gated. We spent 3 days working on your order and the ad clearly stated as an externally gated turbocharger. So I have no reasons to refund or provide further services, Unless I wish to help you out instead.

I believe in your situation it is probably best if we just highflow your stock turbocharger instead of building the G3 internally gated. The broken stud can be removed. So if preferred send us your stock turbocharger to carry out this service, and I will transfer the payment across for the high flow service instead.

With diagnostic of your current problem, plug in an scanner, your O2 feed back should appear in a rich n lean cycle. If not check your sensor and wiring.

If the scanner does not show an lean reading on throttle its highly ignition related, which I had same issue on both of my R33s. Use heat range 7 plug and gap them to 0.8 first, if problem persists, it is probably your coil packs. Replace them with proper split fire coil packs and stay away from the ebay yellow or red jackets of what so ever.

If you do wish to get close to 350rwkws, you must get a proper steam pipe manifold and external gate and use the turbocharger sent with E85 fuel. Buy a proper made manifold such as Brae high mount or 6 boost, stay away from the SS ebay $350 special.

Broken stud was engine head side of things, all fixed now , and with this high mount manifold is it going to make the turbo clash with the bonnet or are they designed rightly so to fit in snug-like ?

Then i`m guessing the hi mount manifold is going to cause exhaust pipe lining-up issues /bring out the mig welder and the grinder and elbow grease or is there standard adaptors i can buy to bridge the gap?

thanks!

It was my mistake, you have a huge photo on the right of an internally gated turbo and i was in a rush to buy it before business closing times, not that it made much difference getting her before 13 days, but yeah,

change your ad to show the EXTERNALLY GATED TURBO first with the TEXT "THIS IS ALL THE PARTS YOU ARE PURCHASING " - IN/AROUND/BELOW THE PHOTO

then when showing a huge picture of an internally gated turbo state " this is an optional extra at more extra cost more clearly in/around/below the photo.

And as i stated on the phone i've been around skylines all my driving life, it was your silly confusing advert that landed me in this bind, i assumed the top photo had the rest of the turbo's accessories removed for better clarity of the turbo itself as to not look like a bulky stock mess like the factory turbos.

And not to be rude or anything it says 10 available on the advert, it doesnt say you will take the orders as they come and go out back and fabricate it, if it said 13 day waiting period on the ad because we build on demand i would have had a good laugh and found an alternative.

Had me worried for a moment there, i thought the postie had done a runner with the turbo and bolted it up to his fully sick hilux or something outta spite, but perhaps i`ll see it later on today like you stated yesterday?

You mentioned you've been around skylines all your driving life, but in that time have really missed picking up the basics.

Don't rush into modifying your car or you will be in a world of hurt. Take your time, this site has so much excellent info to make your life easy, read it and benefit from it.

Well, every detail has been stated including handling time and delivery, if the ad is not been read before purchase is made then no other person should be blamed.

Its regardless wither I stated it internal or external gate, as you didn't know what they were. I'm the one whom told you what internal gate and external gates are. Doing high mount and external gate, It will be far more involving then sorting basic diagnostics. Have a look at every one whom got 350rwkws+ on a proper setup. They know they their skylines, their fabrications and modifications. I own skylines for 6 years and I've rebuilt it twice, knowing the car inside out, my car pulls 490rwkws, and I've been helping members here getting their results.

No offence, I don't think you currently has the knowledge or experiences for this sort of task. Return the G3 external gated turbo and send us your stock turbo to be high flowed. Once done have it fitted, get your car tuned, and be happy with 260 pump or 300rwkws E85 with stock driving ability.

LOL exhange the turbo, what are you missing a few screws like the bloke from ATR who can barely strum a sentence together.

He is saying return the 900 dollar turbo and ill charge you over 900 to hi flow your old shit turbo, that makes alot of sense, lol, where are the aussies these days, dying breed.

Howcome not a ebay super seller? 500 stars, im super seller with 200, and only 70 of them were sales, LOL, what was the track record before the last 12 months i wonder ?? can not be pretty, lucky this time, normally im a negative feedback whore, but i feel for you, i`ll give you a break

You are going to seriously struggle with your car dude if you don't take advice from people when they give it.

Hypergear has developed and tested heaps of turbos for rb25s ,his car has done 1000s of dyno runs. Have you read his thread in the forced induction section?

Good luck with it all. You are going to struggle.

lol, oRRrrr Im going to sell it on to a crack fiend who wont know what him him @ stock and make a killing on it, which one do you think , struggle or profit? i dunno its too tricky to tell

Ok you may have been round skylines you entire driving life, but clearly know little. Being around cars doesn't mean you know about them. My missus has been around imports for about 10 years but she knows nothing when it comes to the mechanical side of things.

You clearly know little about highflowing turbos and the cost involved in that, and why it is so expensive.

To answer your question about boost levels (7psi vs 10psi), again this shows a bit of a lack of knowledge on your part. The stock boost setup on the r33 is with a 5psi wastegate actuator (although it will often be a bit higher with the addition of a turbo back exhaust) and a bleed off solenoid. The solenoid is closed below about 4500 rpm, but above that it opens. When it opens it bleeds off air going to the wastage actuator so the actuator sees less pressure than what is actually in the system.

So to just run the lower boost all the time just remove the vaccum hose (that runs from the T piece in the hose from the cooler pipe to the actuator) and plug it.

in order for me to learn, you share knowledge without condemnation, this is my 2nd turbo car ever owned, the first was a mitsubishi starion, and that had soo much shit in the bonnet i couldnt see the turbo from the rest of it, give a guy a break, im trying to live and learn not put up with DONT YOU KNOW BETTER comments, this is what forums are about are they not?

, troubleshooting !!

Yes I know jack shit about r33's and turbos for that matter, but do I pretend to know more than jack shit?

I was just annoyed that some local bloke recommended hypergear and never mentioned which setup to purchase, just said its a direct bolt on fits all stock r33's, my bad for trusting bad advice, but i dont go around bitchin about his advice do I, if i researched on my own i would have eventually found the answers i need, but in todays modern paced world we want tomorrows news today, so dont hate the player, hate the game, LOL!!! :)

I suggest you do some research instead of just asking some random person. Become familiar with the search function and do some reading and you will have most of your questions answered and also be able to make judgements for yourself and your specific wants/needs.

trueeee, if i wanted to waste 10 years researching i would, but i have a mrs, a bi polar one at that, and i can't be internet browsing all hours of the night without not hearing the end of it, understand the jam im in yea?, lol

It doesn't need a photo! that description is more than enough.....

Haven't you seen an internal waste gate actuator before?

PIC_0455.jpg

:rofl2:

That is not an actuator my friend. not sure if its me but I found your language very hard to understand.

What hypergear said was he is going to swap that externally gated turbo you have for a high flowed turbo, with you sending him your factory turbo. That is very nice of Stao offering to help. Like many said, you need a fair amount of knowledge for extensive modification. It is best to bolt on a high flowed turbo getting the power in a much simpler way.

Hypergear's is here for 6 years, welly respected member, he's modification thread is indexed and the biggest read under forced induction contain every thing you need to know. link is at:

Then you don't have time to do the build either..

Give your car to a specialist workshop, tell them you want to do 300km/hr and give them all your money..

Your are not the only person with other commitments, what you want is not a simple thing, not even sure you know what you want so you should start there =)

Work out if your goal is actually attainable with the investment you are prepared to make (including time and money)
