Hi Guys

So my car is tearing the tyres of my wheels and Im tired of actively not going places because my car is too low so I want to higher it.

Spoke to Pedders ,they says its $240 to get the car higher($60 a side)

Bought Pdders XA coilovers so I could simply higher and lower as I wanted but dont want to pay this much every time I want a different height.

Anyone out there that can help me out, show me what to do etc.... payment is beer, good company and/or a reasonable monetary amount.

Car : R33

Coilovers : Pedders XA

Location : Southern Sydney 2234

Look at the coil overs.

It's pretty obvious. Undo lock nut, turn other nut, do up lock nut.

Jack car up when doing it and drench nuts with wd40 etc.

Buy the correct spanner to make it even easier.

Look at me...its pretty obvious that I'm a retard with this kinda stuff. I proved that time and time again with my previous car and always left the car worse off then when I started. I've put my ego aside and accepted this.

Since it involves safety of myself and others as well I wanted to either watch while someone else did this, or do this while a knowledgeable person watches over me.

If no one can/is able to show me , Il just have to pay Pedders 240 to do it (which seems like a rort IMO)

I believe the Pedders coilovers are exactly the same as BC Racing.

All you need to do is jack the car up (rest on jack stands of course) Undo the bottom collar, and turn the shock clockwise approx 5 mm. These coilovers are designed so that you don't need to remove the tower from it's perch.

Youtube 'install coilovers' and you will be able to find something to help.

Should not take you longer than 15 mins per side.

Appreciate the advice and have watched countless videos, just wanted someone to help/watch over me so I know its done right and not dangerous to drive

thats what i thought too

basically just raise as many mm as you want to raise car.

if you are going to pay someone, im sure your mechanice will charge you less to do it... but you might need an alignment done as well, maybe

it is honestly an easy job, i installed and have adjusted the height of my coilovers myself and im still learning about cars. Just lots of reading before doing the particular mod

But i do understand if you're not confident then you'll just have to pay someone, thats what i did with my 100k service, didnt want to mess up timing belt change...

If the shocks are that adjustable, then you really need to get the car corner weighted if you want to get the best out of the suspension.

Ask Pedders if they can corner weight the car. If they can't, ask them where you can get it corner weighted. And don't let them tell you that it doesn't need corner weighting, because handling is all about weight transfer (which Pedders should be aware of), and uneven weight distribution is not a good place to start.
