Looks nice but they can be had for much less. Based on lack of interest you may need to heavily adjust your price :-(

I agree, probably need to drop like 6-7k to get some interest

6-7k lower doesnt even make landed cost to aus from jap, you can check auction prices of these, let alone compliance, rwc etc before registering. I will consider near offers though. If it was a unit which has been used in aus for a long time, then I would go down, but the car was only registered on 24 dec 2013

It doesnt make a difference how long it has been in OZ, car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You can try to get what you're asking but all people are trying to say is that there are cheaper ones on carsales, hence the reason you have probably had not one enquiry.

I appreciate your comments. I will let it go for a sensible price as I am leaving the country soon. Hope to receive some doable offers soon.

Hey Zaziz, its not for me to comment on what you should ask or accept.

I would say if your leaving the country, not to leave it too late, as last minute desperation could see you selling way under market price. Good luck as selling cars isn't a fun practice.

thanks pauls.

I took your and MP_R33's valuable advice on board and decided on a price reduction.

It is now: $ 22,999

hopefully there would be lucky new owner for this. I am gutted to let it go, but since I wont be in AUS, there is no point.

Thanks mate

There are a lot of GTRs selling around $20-25k, I guess from experience, this forum has made it a habit injecting negativity to novice members/users.

Don't mean to be more rain on the parade this car doesn't have the series 3 OEM Xenon lights either. It may have aftermarket HID's fitted to the normal headlights though...

I don't think you should be lowering the price that much Zaziz. I feel like you're kinda being tricked to lowering way below what a GTR goes for let alone one that's in such a good condition as yours. Unfortunately I've checked out other threads and seen that about the only bit of activity sellers get are guys making no point comments like "nice car mate". Try carsales.com.au or GumTree which is free and other sites online. The more sites you advertise on, the better the chance of getting a buyer.

Thanks I really appreciate the last comment. I know these are not worth so less as everyone in here explains. I wont go down a penny more and even if i am not in australia my friends can complete the hand over process.

    • I know you don't want to hear this comment, but I can't not say it.  I just can't see 200kw being worth the time and effort. Its like guys with NA cars, putting in headers/exhaust/tune for a massive 20% jump in power. Great, the slow car is still slow and you're down $10,000.  My vote is leave it NA or price in a gearbox upgrade and shoot for at least 300KW, preferably 350KW+.  Now you have a NC that will try to kill you from time to time and will be exciting to drive
    • Ah yep. The main message I want to pass on is, try not to get scared of ghosts when thinking about knock/knock detection.  What I mean is, healthy engines make noise. Knock is also noise. Your knock sensor and ECU combo are trying to determine bad noise from good noise based on how loud the noise is. The factory knock sensors and ECU are not good at doing this.  Modern ECU's are pretty decent at it, however I'd still say that you would want to verify that if your ECU says it's knock, that you actually listen to it and confirm that it is correct.  Are you familiar with the plex knock monitor?  https://www.plex-tuning.com/products/plex-knock-monitor-v3/ I expect you're the type of person that would be very keen to play with something like this. It is great knock detection and you can pop some headphones on and listen to what's going on.  Knock that you've deliberately induced in low load low RPM areas is not really putting anything at risk and is a great tuning/learning/verification tool.  I just thought this was worth mentioning based on the way you were talking about setting up a base map and the Haltech base map settings. There are better ways to spend your time then chasing ghosts and worrying about detonation in scenarios that it is crazy unlikely to encounter it.  I was also wondering, what ECU are you planning to get? Will it be long til you pick it up?

    • I somehow quoted my post instead of editing it. I regret nothing.
