I see greenline does them.

"Mines rb26 shore pro 2". They were about $1600 when I was looking, that includes buckets though. There isn't a hell of a lot of result out there with them, I'd say that would be due to price.

I was going to run them before I decided to go even more aggressive.

If it's for hillclimb i wouldn't even go -5's. Go -7's and put E85 through it. Though that's just me.

Concur... Most hillclimbs being lower speed (under 140km/h), -5 are not the right selection for such escapades.

So if -5s are already there you want the max response you can, stock cams and some cam gears set to bring on boost early as possible without worrying about the peak figure as it's the middle area that's going to bring home the silveware

haven't got the -5 as yet just doing my research and from reading some forum threads it seems that the -7's come in earlier but really drop off at around 7000revs is this correct?

I like a high revving engine would get the -7 but would prefer to be changing gear closer to 8000revs ....

Thanks for the info Piggaz found them on green line your right not cheap but i will speak to my tuners and if they think there worth getting i will get them..

nope. Mine Hold 21PSI all day. Depends on the engine i suppose. Why do you want to change at 8000RPM? there is no reason for that. That's just an engine waiting to go bang sitting on the redline like that. Until you forge the engine don't even go near that. Even then i wouldn't.

Anyway if you are planning on doing hillclimbs get the -7's. You will get much faster times with them. And they can still run decent power. I'm sitting at 320KW on 98. To go -5's for hillclimb is a huge waste of moneys.

thanks it tuned for e85 at the moment.. thats some pretty good numbers ok then so its -7's is it worth also getting the Tomei exhaust manifolds and extension dumps at the sometime ?

No to the exhaust manifolds (between the engine and the turbo) Yes to the dumps.

Why 7's & not 9's?

to be honest I'm not too familiar with either just doing my research.. i thought the -7's are bigger and would get more power than the -9 and thats why..

DEFINATELY no to the exhaust manifolds. I have been two sets myself, one set didn't last 1500 km before I blew a hole in number 1 runner. That and when I put on some tickled stockers there was no difference on the dyno or the road for that matter. However, they make a great paper weight or a nice looking door stop.

-9's will net a fraction more.

Good work. I only went through one set but I did manage to crack both of them. Winning.

No to manifolds man. I'm making 472 rwkw through -5's on stock manifolds, they have been matched to the head and turbine housing though.

Dumps - HPI, Tomei, Midori. Take your pick and if you want to be really fussy, match the front pipes to the dumps so there is no lip there.

    • Ayooo, been a while mates. I have a s2 r33 gtst and air stopped coming out of all the top vents.   My car has always made an actuator gear noise when turning the car on but that's a different issue I think? Did searches and am at process of thinking it's an actuator or some type of motor? I see a few different actuators and don't know which one. Would be nice to know if it was the one that's under the steering wheel so the dash doesn't need to come out.
    • Hi, just checking. Did you get this stuff made by Vspec Performance and at what price roughly? Looking into (sometime later) also getting such a intake kit, and Trust as well as HKS don't make a full set like this anymore.
