Drilling & Tapping Balancer Tube Rb26

Hi guys,

Looking for some advice,

My question is, can the coolant balancer tube on a RB26 be removed without the need to remove the whole plenum? I need to drill and tap the coolant air bleeder.. pic says it all really.

pretty sure the top half seperates from the bottom

It does, the 2 hoses on the bottom can be a prick to get to.

It does but good luck pulling them apart with the engine in the car.
