Congrats Bob on your purchase. Did u get the best colour available, silver :)

Do u have a thread or pics on the car? I'm keen to see it.

Cool....... I'm looking forward to this event.

My newly acquired V-spec 2 should be ready by then and I'll probably have a few spare parts for sale too.

Cheers,

Bob.

Yes mate........ Had to be silver........ Spark Silver to be exact..

She needs a fair bit of TLC which is slowly coming together.

She's OK but not in the same league as your car or my ADM but at least I don't have to be precious about it and can just hop in and enjoy.

Unigroup did a good job on the mechanicals.

Ran 271rwkw's which is no record breaker but brisk non the less.

I'm expecting to have stage one completed by Easter, and then finally completed by the end of September.

It's at my panel beaters now getting a once over and the wheels are at the Wheel Repairman getting painted the correct colour.

It goes to my trimmers on April 10 to be completed by the end of that week and then then the exhaust shop to realign the rear pipe.

I like them coming out dead straight and this ones on an angle to the left.

I'll then detail the sh!t out of it over Easter which will then do until later in the year.

WE NEED TO ORGANISE A GET TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers...... Bob.

What you SAUNSW member say and what actually happens are two different things.

We dont choose to stay away, the r-chassis people make that choice for us with comment like " Do man V35 Skylines go to these sort of things, or is it mainly the better skylines?" here on the forum, let alone the other crap we cop when we do turn upto events.

Can i ask what is it exactly about V-chassis cars that you R-chassis look down apon us and make you better than everyone else?

A person's opinion is a person opinion, if in his opinion he believes r chassis cars are better then that's his opinion

I don't understand why there is hostility between the two chasst types

Could I please ask what "crap" you receive when you turnup (pm me if you like)

The club tries to put on great events for everybody to come together as enthusiasts to enjoy our cars together in a safe environment

I've never heard this banter before R vs V and I think this is childish. Anyone that has an issue with either car simply should not have the privilege of owning a skyline IMO. It's time to grow up.

Howaitonaito it sounds like you would be more constructive to bring your concerns to the AGM and try and do something about them, than in trying to drag down a new and innovative event that the Exec are trialing.

If you read the club constitution you will see it clearly states we are a "Skyline" enthusiast club which covers everything that has ever had that nameplate since 1955. And whenever there has been an older or newer model than the more common 32-34 series it has always led to compliments and interest. It is up to the membership, you included, to make this club what you want it to be.

Agreed. This meet is about a bunch of people that enjoy cars, might have a few parts or just want an owners car show - if you're proud of your car then bring it along.

The event is not limited to just Skylines. We just happen to be hosting and coordinating the event.

It will be a great day out with lots of cars and enthusiasts of all generations of cars.

I have to agree with Duncan and Pezhead.

If anyone has a problem come to the AGM and bring it up, or PM an exec of the club and they can take it to the committee for you.

Everybody is welcome to SAU Events, it doesn't matter what you drive, just as long as you have the right attitude.

This event was set up as it was something that the members have been asking for, and the committee tries to accommodate all of its members needs, and takes member feedback seriously.

I was wondering this my self considering most events have a lot of Evos and S chassis cars turning up and they are always welcomed, I don't see why a V series skyline would be treated any different

I have never heard anyone put crap on any of the V-chassis boys at any event, it's been quite the opposite.

E.G. last cruise to Bowral we had a beautiful V36 turn up for the meet, it was the center of attention, apart from the 35 gtr. Nothing bad was said at any point of the day, the only thing I heard was "We wish more of these would turn up"

Now if you want to enter, than enter. If you don't, than don't that's your decision but don't feel unwelcome. Also that is for all cars.

So now can we please stop the BS and get back to organising this great event.

Ok so how many people do we have in so far? and how many people can't wait for it to hurry up :w00t:

Guys I think I am going to come. I really like my v35 and TBH I like car events and seeing what other people have done to their cars.

Also, so just to clarify its not just for skylines, my mate wants to bring his 200sx? Do many other cars come?
