BOV help!!!

I have recently purchased an R33 GTS-t and the air filter is hooked up so that when i drive it makes a sucking noise and then when i change gears it makes a faint blow off noise from the air filter. I went and put a type 3 BOV on my car and this has not made a difference.... Does any one know how to get rid of this sucking noise from the airbox??

The only way to get rid of the sucking noise is to change your pod filter to a factory airbox set-up.

The sucking noise is induction noise, due to the huge amount of air being drawn into the intake (plus the turbo is only about two feet away).

Some pods do make more induction noise than others though.

I have the turbosmart type 3 bov with the stock airbox, and have little to no induction noise or flutter. I have recently removed the airbox cover and snorkel, and taped the panel filter in place to get a fully sick induction noise and flutter combined with the bov.

I just cut the front corner out of mine and put a bit of a scoop on it

so it sucks air from arround the headlight , since doing this it has a hell cool induction noise & flutter.

Most people, as is evident in the replies like that induction noise. So i ask, is the problem that it doesn't make the normal blow off valve noise when you change gears?

If so, is the vacuum hose connected properly?
