Captain Natro
Kathryn just made 93rwkw with her non turbo, power isn't a concern... Do whatever you please Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/440913-3inch-exhaust-tip/#findComment-7236456 Share on other sites
Cadmoon
Changing the tip will have almost no effect on power, changing the exhaust will more than likely see a drop in power for you. Also if your are cutting off the rear muffler and putting a cannon on you will get a lot of droning. MagicMikeZ32
It is a bad idea. Keep what you have. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/440913-3inch-exhaust-tip/#findComment-7236920 Share on other sites
GTS R33
Just a quick question while we have an exhaust topic. Will I lose power putting a rear muff/res back on. Just want a quieter ride, thinking to get dump pipe upgrade, cat upgrade while at it. MagicMikeZ32
What are you running currently? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/440913-3inch-exhaust-tip/#findComment-7237093 Share on other sites
Cadmoon
Adding mufflers that restrict flow will cause a loss in power but it will probably only be a small one, resonators are a better bet but they won't cut as much noise. GTS R33
I think it may already have a res there is a little section on the piping looks like a foot long bubble behind the cat Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/440913-3inch-exhaust-tip/#findComment-7237487 Share on other sites
Cadmoon
Yeah resonators look like slightly bulged sections. I believe you can put multiple resonators in tho to reduce the noise. Captain Natro
I run a center resonator and a rear muffler and mines still half noisy Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/440913-3inch-exhaust-tip/#findComment-7237732 Share on other sites
