Dave, your thinking along the same line as me. It has to be damage to the sensor or simply wrong position.

Yeah it'd be good if you could clear the code just to make sure it wasn't a one off thing. O2 sensor faults normally clear themselves after a few cycles if it's not a permanent fault anyway.

I did clear the code yesturday arvo. Got a mechanic friend that has a multi scan tool to clear it.

Came back within a minute.

Good chance the wires have melted on the exhaust manifold or something.

Scotty, no mate. That along with the plug was the first things I checked.

Anyway just dropped it back off. I told them about the positioning. So hopefully they get it sorted today.

Stupid thing is.... There scanner doesn't link so they have to take it to a mechanic around the corner.

It's fixed.

They damaged the 02 sensor during either remove or install.
