They are 200 now mate

They found they wore better than the 140 so they bumped them up.. Nothing has changed compound wise just their rating

Mine are 2013 build and say 140 on them

They do list both compounds on Tirerack though so that explains why

None really left in the country though so have to wait for the new moulds!

Hankook RS-3 and Potenza RE-11 are rated at 200 UTQG. Would you say they're better than the Federals? I read somewhere that the NT-05 is 'better' than RS-R, never driven on any tyres mentioned so I can't say, but fatz doesn't like the Federals.

How often will you be driving the car? The NT-05 if obviously not as good in the rain and won't last as long as the INVO, but with the extra contact patch, will grip better in the dry. The Corvette people love them.

Daily driving = INVO

Weekend car = NT-05

I'll be looking at putting NT-05 on once my current tyres are gone. Falken FK452 doesn't cut it any more for me .

No idea about Hankook RS-3 and Potenza RE-11, but if John Boston says they're better, i'd take that as gospel. Most people answering here (including myself) have only used a handful of different tyres, so are largely ignorant..... I was impressed with the RSRs, and would not be surprised if they upped the treadwear. Mine have lasted a lot longer than i thought they would.

Fatz is a track junkie, so he wouldnt like the RSRs. If he's talking about the Federal R specs, then that's not relevant to the RSRs.

I like your summary - its about horses for courses and bang for buck.

In the "street semi" range ive tried the RSR'S, KU36'S & currently running the RS3'S the Hankooks are light years above & beyond the kuhmos & federals imo

The invos probably dont give too much dry grip away to the federals or kuhmos but absolutely hose all the "street semis" in the wet and are quiet as hell for daily duties so its obviously a trade off..

The hankooks are pretty nervous in the wet but better than the other 2 brands lol.

I've currently got ku36 been on the car for almost 2 years and for the last 6-9 months they have become the loudest most annoying tyres I'm changing them and they arnt even finished yet, proberbly done 15 passes at the drags and daily driving over 12000kms

They have a treadwear of 180

good info on the KU36s. I just got a some fronts put on the evo so i am interested to see how they go. main reason i got them though was value at $150ea... was tempted by the RSRs but i think they were a little deerer, and was a little concerned about how many kms i would get.

Mick_o - did you think the RSRs and KU36s were about the same level of dry grip? I remember back a couple of years ago the the reports were that the RSRs were much grippier than the KU36s.

SIR_RB - not sure on kms, have done some track days on them too, so it wouldnt mean much. Next thing to consider is price. If the RS3s are about that same as the RSRs then its a no brainer to go with RS3's, but if they're significantly cheaper (SAU NSW price) then you've got a more difficult decision. I'd still probably spend the dough and go for the most grip tho. I imagine you've spent a bit on your engine!

Adam I thought the RSR's were a bit grippier than the KU36's not by huge amounts tbh The federals were alot quieter than the kuhmos! I paid $200 a corner fitted for the RS3's in 17×235×45's which I thought was cheap as chips when you consider they are the grippiest "street semi" around.

I remember reading something about an event Couldnt tell you the name of the event lol but it was a "time attack" style event at a club level & the fastest times laid down were all on the RS3's with the AD08's running 2nd. The Yoko's were a good $60 more a tyre than the hankooks too

I preferred the RSR over the KU36 on the front of mine when it was in stock form.... The KU36 got super noisy and were taken off! They still had like new tread after 5000kms or something.

The RSR were like new except where they scrubbed out due to a failing tie rod end...

My rear RSR survived something like 5000kms with launch after launch after launch and a few skids thrown in for good measure!

Rang taleb tyres today, nitto nt05 same size as above for $235

INVO's are $250

Cheapest rs3's I've seen so far on ebay are going for $300ish

They were from Prospeed Racing on the central coast, $25 delivery to me too!

I have the 275 on the rear now, still frys them through to 3rd but will play with tyre pressure etc and see how they go!

Not so far but to be fair i havent really played with it to check.... They were brand spanking and still had writing on them so let me bed them in and ill check back in!

Actually on that note, i will know by the end of Sunday as its doing the Nulon Nats event
