So iv disconnected my stupid factory dual stage boost controller on my r 34 and fitted a tee for now just to get a few more psi from the factory turbo before I put all my bigger stuff on , problem I'm having is its just a dog down low it feels like it's not barley making any boost and is really sluggish through the bottom end of the rev range ! Iv taken the boost solenoid off near the power steering res and taken the other part of the top of the rocker covers near the firewall and I'm running actuator to tee then straight into hot pipe off the turbo , any suggestions on how to get it running right or is this just how shit neo motors are iv owned 3 rb25's non neo prior to this and never had a problem they all rev freely and the boost is easy to tap into this thing is slow as

Hahaha.

Neo engines aren't shit just cos you can't figure out boost control.

Anyways, running more boost on an untuned ecu is pointless, just wait until you can afford to do things properly with a tune.

What part near the rocker cover on the firewall?

The map sensor?

There's your problem

lol....I would be re-mounting your MAP sensor..

if I were you I wouldn't even remove the stock solenoid. Cut the tubing and terminate the tubing with screws or plugs. Then install your boost tee hidden away.

That way if your engine bay ever gets looked over by the popo or RTA you look like you running standard boost with no controller…

Iv got a haltech ecu , 3076, 1000cc inj 40 mil gate all the shit off my track car waiting to go on but that's not going to happen over night , just looking for 10 psi to have a bit of fun till I deside to do all that , the only thing iv taken off are for what I thought was the dual stage let me know if I need to put any of this back on , car runs and drives fine just a slug down lowpost-76499-13970979536854_thumb.jpg these are the only things iv removed

Yeah forget about the other stuff at this stage as iv said I'm not putting that on yet , so is the boost sensor or map sensor as your calling it can I ask why It needs to be put back on ? Doesn't it only send signal to the ecu for over boosting or does it serve a larger purpose ?

Everyone here is trying to provide help…

I suggest you mount the stock solenoid back in where it was and plug it in… then joing the boost lines up like they were from factory. Then cut those lines and plumb off the ends and leave the solenoid plugged in.

Now add your boost Tee inline and see if you have fixed your issue.

Personally if I had all those good bits sitting aside you had I wouldn’t be messing and putting undue stress on your engine/turbo.. I would wait and fit all your goodies then play

Just my 2c….
