Hi all. Have been looking at upgrading my factory exhaust manifold so I can run a exturnal gate to control boost better. Currently run factory manifold and factory turbo been hi flowed and steel wheel fitted. Made 358hp@wheels on 21 pound and falls off boost back to 15psi at 5300rpm. So has potential to make well into the 400 mark if I can sort out waste gate. Been looking at this manifold for a few weeks and like the fact that it keeps everything in the std position. Due to the fact I run the engine in a torana there is no room to move anything outwards. Has anyone else used this manifold from Hybird in New Zealand. If so can you please let me know what you think of it. Thanks Dave

Hey Dave,

I considered the hybrid performance manifold as they do look pretty solid compared to other options out there but not quite sure where they are manufactured etc along with not understanding the difference between their manifolds (some looks the same but cost 150 bucks more kind of thing).

In the end went with a 6boost manifold which is solid quality, known to perform and last well (lifetime warranty) and didnt have the guts to try out one of the hybrid manifolds. The guys at 6boost would definitely be able to help make sure it fits in there as well as all manifolds are made to order I think, you can check out a bit more below:

if you go with hybrid, really interested to hear what you think

sounds exactly like myself I was just about to buy a hybrid manifold then freaked out and got a 6boost it's really a work of art and couldn't be happier. I have read of some guys using the hybrid high mount for over a year with over 300kw no problem.

There's a big long thread on the Hybrid manifolds in here. They are made in NZ. People generally consider them value for the price - sometimes need "adjustments" such as refacing to ensure a good fit. Your alternatives include putting the wastgate on the turbo housing or welding on to the existing manifold. Personally I have paid the extra for a Sinco Customs manifold (similar quality and price to 6 Boost).

I've ordered a Kelway Manifold from Rex Kelway and can't wait to get it (finished by the end of the week)

Choices that have led me this way were many happy customers, as good as 6 boost and about $250 cheaper.

Just another option for you, there's heaps of them out there and a lot of info on the net because of the amount sold.
