I got one of these too, can't say I noticed any difference since I only just put it on with a hypergear high flow turbo. It's just an easier option from installation perspective without costing an arm and a leg for HPI

Didn't have to grind anything either, matched the turbo fine and waste gate can open/close freely

In my previous r33 I have tried both bell mouth and split (long split, not the hks copy) setup without altering anything else, I must say I noticed better midrange response with the split setup- no dyno sheet to compare max power however but I didn't really care about what the max power was

Turbo was an r33 highflow with garret bb CHRA done by precision- it was a very responsive turbo

I know most people prefer bell mouth, and may think otherwise, but I'm just sharing my experience

Just to throw another variable in the mix... I have been pretty disappointed with a very popular brand inexpensive dump pipe. Apart from some alignment issues, just take a look at the opening where it connects to the turbo:

The wastegate flap on a hypergear turbo can foul if you have an aftermarket actuator which opens a little further than the stock one.

Keep in mind on a hypergear turbo, the turbine outlet is even larger, meaning that even the gasket opening will be slightly smaller than the turbine outlet diameter. It would be a good idea to have one made, or modify and existing one. The stuff coming out of china can be just too variable in quality and shape.
