Q1.Do you need a heat sheild on your car when to go to get your blue slip?

Q2.Will i get thrown back for having a bov venting to atmo?

Are there any other usuals that people get thrown back for??

BOV that vent to atmosphere are illegal.

Things that people get failed for include:

Pod Filters,

Big exhausts

Car too low (100mm is the lowest point on a car)

Pillar mounted gauges

oversized wheels

tinting too dark

Wrong globed in headlights (blue is illegal)

neons

This is just a indication on the type of things an import may be failed on. I have not mentioned the normal stuff like tears in seats, emissions, faulty lighting, worn steering/suspension, bad brakes, non compliance tyres and oil leaks.

Make sure the car is clean and the engine is steam cleaned. Also check the globes all work. When I used to do inspections, if there were globs blown or obvious problems, I would always have a closer look.

Hey what about a 50/50 bov one with plumback?or do they have to be fully plumbed back?

Why not just turn up and see what they says? or perhaps speak to one.

If they're anal about it then yes they will not give it to you but if they're a bit dodgy, they should lol.

the dodge ones allways say will you fix it after, otherwise you will have to come back and we will have to go through this all again.And all you gotta say is yes they let you go and your safe.But what i find odd about it is that they can get reported for dodgy dealings.When the cop pulls you over and wants to know where you got it done at all you gotta say is would you like your car done at the same place orficer he will pass you with those bullet holes honest,your gf show some leg and tit and your off..I wish.....
