Hi all..

Just wondering if I can use my neo pistons and rods in an r33 block with an r33 crank?? Not sure of series 1 or 2 if that helps..

My neo crankshaft has an overly flogged out keyway and my block has a crack from a water jacket to the head stud.. also has been decked twice so wouldn't bother repairing the crack and decking again..

Got the r33 bottem end free so want to make use of it if I can..

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Cheers

r34 pistons wont fit as they have a different combustion chamber to the r33 heads, so in theory you can fit all of the above, however you need a NEO head if using NEO pistons, or r33gtt/gtr pistons to use the r33 head

He is planning on using everything, including the head, from the neo.

And will r34 pistons actually not fit with a non neo head? I know the comp will raise a fair bit, but they would still fit right?

Exactly..

My current complete neo engine has a crack in the block and a flogged out keyway in the crank..

Got a complete r33 block for free so will jist swap over rods and pistons..

Of course will do rings, bearrings etc etc...

i know the r33 pistons with neo head is a no go, but the r34 pistons with r33 head i havent tried that. most possibly raise the compression a bit, also not sure how much they will poke over the block at TDC....
