Mismatch Ebc And Control Valve

Hi guys,

About a year ago I bought a greddy profec b spec II off a fellow SAU member. Have only just had an opportunity to put it on the car this week and have noticed that while the controller seems to be the real deal that the boost control valve is actually a turbosmart e-boost control valve.

Will this still work with any controller?

I think it may as I would think the signals sent/rec would be exactly the same?

Would be fine.

They are a mac valve re branded.

Any ebc should run any valve, as long as it's 12v. It's just a coil after all.

I run a 5 port MAC valve off my Blitz DSBC just fine.

Which is a re branded mac valve....

Further to this issue. Struggling with the wiring of the control valve to the unit. The greddy unit with the normal control valve has a wiring harness but because of the different valve I have a red and black from the unit and two blacks on the control valve. Which one is which??

Doesn't matter.

It's a coil.

That's why both wires are black.
