Isn't vtc offered by mines. And some other Japanese companies. I remember seeing a video with the r34 mines gtr where it was turned on and compared to after and before results.

It's a fairly comprehensive kit, it comes with an Fcon etc but not cheap. http://www.nengun.com/hks/v-cam-system-step-1-a-b

Looks like it's all but discontinued now.

As you can see, there are a lot of parts in there, but you only need a few of them really.

VCT would be even easier to retrofit I guess, and a lot easier to control.

Thanks mate that's some interesting stuff. It's also expensive for real. For that money and some brain power i can build more power than the 5+k there asking.

That's true, but it is not about power so much as response.

I agree. All I do is drag race. But I do have a gtr I drive on the street. I totally understand your point mate and I agree as well. I guess it would give a rb26 some guts down low.

I think 40 degrees normally on the VQ35, but Nismo released a 50 degree advance mechanism. Not sure which one the HKS kit used. They are hydraulically actuated, but here is an electrically operated clutch arrangement on the VQ25 that could be retrofitted easier perhaps...

Is that just on/off Scotty or is it a continuously variable closed loop system?
