Hey guys, thought this might be useful if anyone is considering an spacesaving install for a bigger subwoofer. This is an Alpine Type R 12" that I build a custom fibreglass box for. I didn't want to lose too much boot space and was happy to sacrifice some audio performance. Believe me this still goes hard, to be honest I think it sounds tighter than in the larger sealed mdf box I trialed it in.

The install as it stands:

What is hidden by the carpet:

Amps mounted on back of seat:

Nothing special but might give people ideas. I have replaced the front and rear speakers with Type R's also and removed the stock 6x9's. A little bit of sound deadening and the difference from the stock BOSE is remarkable. Hardest part is pulling the 6x9's, half the interior needs to be removed!
