Rb With Z33/4 Conversion

So i am doing some research on the Z33 gearbox (revised model with better Synchro's) or Z34 gearbox mated to an RB (all models)

Has anyone on here successfully done this conversion?

If so, where did you get the Adaptor plate, or did you do a Cut and Shut job?

I have found numerous plates for all different engines, VH/VK/JZ's/SR's and even CA's but nothing for RB's

My 26/30 is pushing over 380kw on 98, and i want to change to E85, but i doubt the RB25 box will hold much more while i'm slamming gears mid drift.

Can you guys give me some input into the setups?

So for anyone looking for this information later:

I emailed around and a shop in the US has made them and has a couple in stock. I have placed and ordered one, and will keep everyone updated. The z33 CD009 (2005+) are far superior to the rb25 boxes

Cool. What does the $$ situation look like? Freight won't likely be pleasant.

Concept Z performance sell CD009 for USD$1695 + $450 freight so will work out to be around $2500 landed after u pay everything off

any update on this ? I've seen 2 shop ( one in us and one in aussie) selling adapter kit for RBs for Z33/getrag gearbox, could be a better option than shopping for a AG-Y tranny or rebuilted OS gearset ?

I was under the impression the Z33 boxes were made of glass. Maybe that's the connecting rods in their engines...

are they as strong from the factory than the R33 turbo gearbox?

Can anyone confirm these are definitely stronger than the 5 speed from an R34? Is the shift quality better?

Definitely bigger than RB25 gearbox. Check pictures for comparison on this Facebook page, he has done an RB to Z33 conversion

Look around for info on timeline of 11th sep 2014.. look interesting and not too pricey + you get to keep your already rb clutch.
